‘American Horror Story’s White Witch Stevie Nicks Returned

American Horror Story: Apocalypse just re-introduced one of its most iconic characters. No, not anyone Jessica Lange has played. Stevie Nicks is back, and she’s here to make the end of the world just a little bit better. Spoilers ahead for AHS: Apocalypse Episode 5.

Ever since the witches returned in Episode 3, Apocalypse has turned into a guessing game about what happened to its witch coven. “Forbidden Fruit” brought with it the arrival of Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy), and Madison (Emma Roberts), and the following episode, “Could It Be… Satan?” revealed Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) and Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe). That meant that only one Season 3 witch was missing — Lily Rabe‘s Misty Day. And she returned in a halo of ethereal glory along with her musical idol.

In the Coven season of American Horror Story, Misty Day was one of the strongest witches Miss Robichaux’s Academy had ever seen, able to resurrect animals and people with minimal effort. However, she failed the Descensum portion of the test of Seven Wonders. This sweet angel was forced her to relive her nightmare of dissecting a frog for all eternity.

That’s where American Horror Story left beautiful Misty until Langdon (Cody Fern) dragged her back to the land of the living as part of his own test of Seven Wonders. Misty Day is now back in American Horror Story‘s most ambitious game. And to celebrate her return, Cordelia invited the only musician that can make Misty Day swoon, the great Stevie Nicks.

The Fleetwood Mac legend performed a full version of “Gypsy” with BD Wong at the piano. Twitter was there for it:

With every passing episode it’s becoming more apparent that we don’t deserve this show.

New episodes of American Horror Story: Apocalypse premiere on Wednesdays at 10/9c.
