From Charleston to Hollywood, Southern Charm stars Shep Rose and Craig Conover have officially made their feature film debut in Reprisal. While they filmed their respective roles as EMT driver and police officer in the summer of 2017, the film is now available for you to watch at home on VOD, including for rental on Prime Video.
Reprisal stars Frank Grillo as a bank manager who can’t get over a brutal robbery that killed his co-worker, so he teams up with his neighbor (played by Bruce Willis) to find the thief and bring him to justice himself. It’s a non-stop action thriller with lots of shootouts that will have you feeling tense the whole time. But come on, the real action starts when Shep and Craig hit the screen.
That doesn’t quite happen until about 1 hour and 18 minutes into the film when we get our first glimpse at Shep who does an excellent job hopping out of the ambulance and shutting the driver’s side door.
About five minutes later, Craig the cop pops up and really nails that stoic look on his face.
While the roles don’t come with any dialogue for the guys, it’s their first real movie credit which is pretty cool. Their casting likely came from pal Randall Emmett (fiancé of Vanderpump Rules‘ Lala Kent), a producer on the film, but only time will tell how their acting careers will pan out from here.
Decider spoke to Shep in December of 2017 when he was promoting the adventure that was RelationShep and he admitted there was a lady on set that did catch his eye. “I met this girl, Olivia Culpo. I mean, stunning. She was lovely.” If you watch the movie, you’ll see why he’s not lying about that one.
Shep also shared some behind the scenes happenings: “They flew us up to Cincinnati. We went to a casino, there’s a casino in Cincinnati, who knew. Willis was there playing craps, and Craig won a bunch of money on the same table as Willis. Willis won a lot of money, I think.”
Ultimately he said of his movie debut, “It was ridiculous and funny, and I got out of it exactly everything that I wanted to, which was just an insane story for my friends and family.”
