We live in a highly sexualized culture, as any spin through the films and TV shows of our current moment could tell you. Whereas once upon a time, an actor or actress’s willingness to take their clothes off in service of a film or TV show was notable, these days, it’s almost more notable to find a star who won’t get naked.

For some performers, it’s a matter of getting famous enough to be able to refuse a nudity request. For others, there are contractual restrictions against going nude. For others, body doubles are employed. Movies are about people better looking than you will ever be doing things like solving murders and going on dates. But just because they’re better looking doesn’t make them obligated to flaunt it.
