The Holiday is the best Christmas movie, obviously, duh, we know this. And while Kate Winslet is as beautiful and relatable as ever as Iris, and her friendship with Arthur (Eli Wallach) will make you melt, and also Jack Black is at his very best, that just barely scratches the surface of why this movie is so purely wonderful. Yes, Mr. Napkinhead helps too, and the man behind the napkin, Graham (Jude Law) will make you soon, but the aspect of Amanda’s (Cameron Diaz) life it’s utterly impossible to not fall in love with is her gorgeous wardrobe. Writer and director Nancy Meyers put together the perfect movie with the perfect fashion and you will not stop me from celebrating every detail of it, right down to those damn fingerless gloves.
When the Los Angeles resident flies to London, she brings A LOT of clothes with her, including FOUR separate winter coats (the navy blue one, the shaggy one, the camel wool one, and the one with the buttons, I counted).
