Pete Davidson Makes Appearance On ‘SNL’ Hours After Alleged Suicide Note

Last night on NBC‘s Saturday Night Live, actor/comedian Pete Davidson made a brief appearance to introduce the show’s musical guests after posting an alleged suicide note online, which was later retracted.

Earlier in the evening, Davidson posted the following message on Instagram, according to CNN: “i really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. i’m doing my best to stay here for you but i actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all i’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember i told you so.”

He concluded his note with a heart emoji. His Instagram account was later deleted.

Hours later, Davidson made a brief appearance on Saturday Night Live to introduce a live performance by Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson.

The young comedian also played Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek in a pre-recorded skit, where he pretended to audition for a role hosting the Oscars.

Davidson, 25, has had a tough year. In October, he and singer Ariana Grande announced their breakup despite their public love-affair and engagement.

Davidson also drew criticism for mocking congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, a Texas Republican who lost his eye in active duty, on the November 3 show. Crenshaw appeared on the show the following week for a comical segment where he received an apology from Davidson.

On December 3, the comedian posted on Instagram, detailing the bullying he’s experienced for the past nine months while dating Grande.

“I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference,” Davidson wrote.

“I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this,” he wrote.

Davidson has been vocal with the public about his mental health, even revealing at one point that he was diagnosed with having borderline personality disorder.
