Alec Baldwin’s ABC Talk Show Hits New Viewership Lows

Alec Baldwin‘s ABC talk show just hit rock bottom. According to TV By The NumbersThe Alec Baldwin Show pulled in a measly 0.2 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and just 0.98 million viewers, a ratings low for the series. Thanks to Saturday’s abysmal numbers, Baldwin’s talk show was the lowest-rated program on ABC, CBS, and NBC Saturday night — by almost 770,000 viewers.

TV By The Numbers  reports that The Alec Baldwin Show maintained its 0.2 rating from last week but lost a few thousand overall viewers (last week’s total viewership was 1.05 million). The show’s viewership has decreased steadily since the show first premiered in October, and even then, there weren’t many viewers to lose: the October 14 premiere brought in just 2.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in the key demo. As a result of the ratings free-fall, ABC moved the series from Sunday to Saturday nights at 10 p.m., a time slot for shows on the brink of death. While ABC has yet to cancel the series outright, it seems unlikely that the network would continue to support a show that less than a million people watch (and that number seems to be steadily decreasing) every Saturday night.

The Alec Baldwin Show wraps up 2018 with episodes on Saturday, December 22 with guests RuPaul and Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg, and December 29 with Regina King and Gloria Allred.
