Woman Crush Wednesday: ‘To All the Boys’ Star Lana Condor Is Kicking Mucho Ass In ‘Deadly Class’

Listen up, people of the World Wide Web! It is Wednesday once again and that means Decider is here to celebrate another lovely lady in entertainment. This week’s gem captured all of our hearts once before and there is certainly no doubt she will be doing it again. Let’s give it up for this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday, Lana Condor!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Lana Condor

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Condor had us totally crushing after her performance in Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and we’re super pumped to see her reprise her role in the sequel. But we’re the most excited for her latest project, Deadly Class. The show (premiering tonight on Syfy!!!) is a television adaptation of the graphic novel focusing on a school training the world’s next generation of assassins.

Condor plays Saya Kuroki, a total badass covered in tattoos with a knack for handling a samurai sword. Looking fresh out of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, Condor rocks our socks clad in a leather jacket, a blunt haircut, and katana strapped to her back. If you ever wanted to see Condor slay with a sword, now’s your chance. Since early fall, Condor has been promoting this project on her social media and there’s no shortage of intense fighting, adrenaline, and some seriously sick stunts.

From the minute you see Condor in costume it’s clear that we are not in rom-com territory any longer, because there is certainly no messing with this femme fatale. Gone is the sweet Lara Jean because it’s time to say hello to booty-kicking Saya. And from what we’ve seen, Condor is serving nothing less than total badassery in this show. We’re psyched to see what else she’s got up her (tattooed) sleeve and you totally will be too!

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: This isn’t Condor’s first time kicking major butt. The actress’ first big screen role was as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse. And there’s certainly no forgetting her fantastic face from Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before where Condor starred as the lovable Lara Jean, whose secret love letters get sent to all her crushes.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Grab your popcorn and your comfiest sweats because Deadly Class premieres tonight on Syfy, and you don’t want to miss it. Condor will also be starring in Summer Night and Alita: Battle Angels, both set to premiere in 2019. And of course, we can’t forget that she will be reprising her role as the always wonderful Lara Jean in the TATBILB sequel!
