Oscar Nominations 2019: See the Full List of Academy Award Nominees

After much excitement and fanfare, the 2019 Oscar nominations are finally here. Unlike previous years, this year’s Best Picture race seems to be pretty divided between Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born, Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma, crowd-pleaser Green Book, and even Golden Globe Best Drama winner Bohemian Rhapsody. The potential for a split vote is very real, so expect the Academy to churn out a few big surprises come February.

This year, Netflix is closer to winning Oscars gold than ever before with Roma, Cuarón’s intimate, Spanish-language drama. At the Globes, Roma was relegated to the Best Foreign Language category (and won) thanks to a rule that states foreign-language films can’t compete for the top prize, but the Oscars is a different animal. Cuarón’s drama will likely walk away with multiple nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director, Foreign Language Film, and maybe even Best Actress for Yalitza Aparicio. It’s also likely that Cooper’s A Star Is Born will come away with top honors, including sure-thing nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor and Actress. Apart from those two heavy-hitters, expect star-studded The Favourite and BlackKlansman to draw multiple nominations, as well.

The 91st Academy Awards will air Sunday, February 24, so nominees will have plenty of time to celebrate before the big day — and those snubbed will have ample time to recover. Best of luck, Oscars hopefuls!
