This Season of ‘RHOBH’ Will Exceed Your Sky-High Expectations With Only One Episode

If The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills isn’t already your favorite city of Housewives, that’s going to change with the insane Season 9 that is now finally upon us. It’s always been the most glamorous city, but it’s about to be the most dramatic as well. I have been drooling for this next installment to arrive and with one episode, this season has already confirmed itself to be unforgettable.

But before we even get to tonight’s premiere, can we talk about that TRAILER for a sec? It’s one of the best Housewives trailers of all time, and there are very, very few YouTube links you can throw my way to make me feel any differently. Between the Brandi Glanville appearance and the Brett Kavanaugh mention, there is seriously no guessing where the hell this season is even heading. I gasped, I laughed, and I cringed my way through it (several times), and if the first episode is any indication, I’ll be following that pattern for the full season ahead.

Lisa Rinna’s recent table-dancing display at Andy Cohen’s baby shower is likely a glimpse of what we can expect from her during this go-round. Her daughters are legit models now, so she’s doing less of the momager thing and more of the inserting herself in the drama thing. But the key to this is that she’s still basically giving no fucks, with her #1 priority firmly in the category of having a good time, so it’s the best kind of Rinna we could be blessed with. Erika Jayne’s outfits are as outrageous as she is outspoken, calling it like she sees it — and likely how IT IS. Dorit is putting on a hair and fashion show at every moment, and her kids are cuter than ever, though a miscommunication or misstep (depending on who you ask) will have her on the defense. Teddi Mellencamp is back and feeling much more comfortable for her second season (a sure sign she’s about to be all up in the drama), teaming up with buddy Kyle Richards, whose friendship with Lisa Vanderpump is busy crumbling right away and right before our eyes (though it has been rocky for some time now).

The one winner of this season is already Vanderpump Dogs, a location responsible for housing more disagreements than a reunion couch (oh, and this saga will 100% be brought up on a reunion couch), which is poised to bring awareness and forever homes to many adorable pups. You’ve likely heard whispers already, but it will be clear before the end of tonight’s episode not only what this season’s major drama swirls around, but where the friendship chips fall — and fall out. And as the rumor mill is working overtime wondering if Vanderpump will or will not call it quits after this season (or during it?!), you’ll know right away this won’t be a pleasant one for her. Watching her relationship with her #DayOne Kyle deteriorate is a total bummer, as is watching (again) the rough toll that the aftermath of her brother’s passing took on her.

But the first episode of this season is a near-perfect Housewives episode, bringing with it the promise of a top-notch season ahead. RHOBH wisely brought back Camille Grammer as a pal (and she comes with a wedding!) and dropped Denise Richards into the mix, a super seamless addition if I’ve ever seen one. And the best part of this season already is that there’s no wading in and no wasting time. These women are cutting right to the chase and the chaos (and looking amazing in the process) and it’s impossible not to love it. There’s already a healthy mix of silliness, gossip, drama, tears, laughs, snacks, and goat yoga to set the tone for the full season ahead — and it’s a tone you’re going to love.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo.
