Woman Crush Wednesday: Haley Lu Richardson Is The Human Form of the Heart Eyes Emoji

It’s Wednesday once again, and that means it’s time to honor Decider’s favorite woman of the week. This week’s Woman Crush Wednesday goes to the one and only, Haley Lu Richardson. We just can’t get enough of this actual angel, and you won’t be able to either.

WHO’S THAT GAL: Haley Lu Richardson

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: The best way to describe Haley Lu Richardson is that she’s the actress you see in a movie and completely fall in love with, and then immediately stalk all her social media once the movie ends. There is truly nothing about her that isn’t a total delight.

Her positive attitude not only belongs to almost all the characters she plays, but it extends to her real-life persona. On any red carpet, you will find her beaming only the brightest smile possible or laughing out loud with her equally adorable S.O. Brett Dier. Richardson is totally her own human and lets the world know loudly and proudly. Her Instagram bio reads “very short yet very loud actual legitimate alien,” which may seem odd at first, but once you’ve seen the ray of sunshine that she is, there’s nothing more fitting.

Richardson is the actress you will be falling head over heels for over and over again. She has proven time and time again that she can nail any performance may it be in comedy, drama, or even thriller and she seems to have the best time doing it. Do yourself a favor and give her a follow and watch all her movies. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Richardson is most recognizable from her role as Krista in The Edge of Seventeen (now streaming on Netflix). Krista is Nadine’s (Hailee Steinfeld) most trusted best friend, who develops romantic feelings for Nadine’s brother Darian. Richardson also starred in a range of comedies and dramas like Support the Girls, Split, Columbus, and The Bronze. She also appears in the Hulu original Recovery Road as Ellie Dennis.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: We will be seeing more of this lovable human being very soon, actually. On March 13th, Richardson’s newest movie Five Feet Apart comes to theaters. Richardson stars alongside Cole Sprouse as two teens with cystic fibrosis who fall in love, but due to their diagnoses, cannot be within five feet of one another.
