HBO is giving a first look at the upcoming season 2 of Barry, the dark comedy starring Bill Hader as a depressed hitman who finds something like salvation in a community theater group and Henry Winkler as his acting teacher.
This new trailer doesn’t give too much away in terms of plot, but who needs spoilers when you have the scene-stealing Winkler delivering lines like, “Barry, there is an inherent darkness in you – I had the same instinct about Charlie Manson. I looked in the mirror and I said, ‘Fella, you better get out of that guy’s band.’”
The series was created, executive produced and written by Hader and Alec Berg. Aida Rodgers and Emily Heller produce. Liz Sarnoff is consulting producer. In addition to Hader and Winkler, Barry stars Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Glenn Fleshler and Anthony Carrigan.
The second season of Barry begins March 31, 10 pm, on HBO.
