Who Will Win ‘The Masked Singer’?

The Masked Singer‘s finale is finally here, which means our weeks spent obsessively Googling random celebrity facts will finally pay off. In tonight’s two-hour finale, we will learn the identities of The Peacock, The Monster, and The Bee. And more importantly (maybe) we’ll finally learn the name of the winner of The Masked Singer.

Over the past nine weeks we’ve watched an assortment of supposed celebrities sing karaoke, take off their ridiculous mask, and reveal their identity for the oddest reality show around. Prior to now, each episode of The Masked Singer has seen one or two contestants go home. This week we’re getting three reveals, and the winner of tonight gets to walk away with a shiny new trophy and bragging rights for successfully confusing America the longest. It’s been a swell season. But now it’s time to get down to business. Here’s Decider’s breakdown of The Masked Singer‘s final three.

Will The Monster Win The Masked Singer?

Is it possible for a grown man in a bright blue monster costume to actually be cool? Surprisingly, the answer is yes. At the beginning of the series The Monster said he chose this persona because that’s how the world sees him. But over the past 10 weeks he’s turned that characterization from an insult into something fun. Sure, The Monster’s performances have been vocally solid. Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” and Lenny Kravitz’s “American Woman” were especially strong, proving that this rap-loving creature has a soft spot for rock. But it’s The Monster’s dedication to his alternative ego that’s the most impressive. A Monster win would mean the judges are looking for performer dedication.

And we think we know the man behind this monster. Though the names Corbin Bleu, David Alan Grier, and Tommy Davidson have been thrown around, we feel fairly confident that The Monster is none other than T-Pain.

Will The Peacock Win The Masked Singer?

Between his passion for magic and his past as a teen heartthrob, this showy bird has kept the judges guessing from Episode 1. But really, what he’s bringing to this final stage is the whole package. Over these past 10 weeks The Peacock has experimented with his song choices, jumping from theatrical numbers like “The Greatest Showman” to more romantic selections like John Legend’s “All of Me” and OneRepublic’s “Shooting Stars.” He even played around with a song from The Weeknd. But no matter what he’s performed The Peacock has committed to his genre, his costume, and this insane reality show 100 percent. Out of all three, The Peacock is the fairest balance between performance and vocals.

So just who is this hidden bird? The most common guesses have been Neil Patrick Harris, Donny Osmond, and “Weird” Al Yankovic. But for our part, we’re sticking to Donny Osmond.

Chances of The Peacock Winning The Masked Singer: The Peacock is close, but not quite there. We’re guessing the odds of a Peacock victory are about 6/1.

Will The Bee Win The Masked Singer?

All hail our queen bee! There have been several memorable performances on The Masked Singer and even more insane ones, but only one contestant has been able to consistently blow us away with her incredible notes. The Bee’s performances and moves may be so-so, but damn can this insect sing. She took our breath away when she first belted out Sia’s “Chandelier” — a classic choice for any impressive singer wanting to show off her range — and she’s kept us awestruck while singing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” and Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” If this competition is really about impressive vocals, The Bee has this win in the bag.

So who is our queen? The better question is who is our empress. Gladys Knight, the Empress of Soul herself, is the most popular guess for this bug. Other guesses have included Patti LaBelle and one of the Supremes.
