‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Runtimes and Air Dates Revealed

We officially have the Game of Thrones Season 8 episode runtimes.

There have been rumors for (literally) years about how long each episode in the final season of Game of Thrones would be, and now HBO has confirmed how long each episode in Season 8 will be. There will be six episodes in Game of Thrones Season 8, and here’s everything HBO is willing to spill about them right now, including runtimes and air dates.

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 1

Debut Date: Sunday, April 14 at 9 PM (ET/PT)
Estimated Running time: 54 minutes

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 2

Debut Date: Sunday, April 21 at 9 PM (ET/PT)
Estimated Running time: 58 minutes

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3

Debut Date: Sunday, April 28 at 9 PM (ET/PT)
Estimated Running time: 1 hour, 22 minutes

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 4

Debut Date: Sunday, May 5 at 9 PM (ET/PT)
Estimated Running time: 1 hour, 18 minutes

Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 5

Debut Date: Sunday, May 12 at 9 PM (ET/PT)

You’ll notice that the first two episodes have a pretty standard runtime at just under an hour. However, the last four episodes of Game of Thrones will all be close to 90 minutes in length. It might also be worth noting that Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3 is already being hyped as the epic Battle of Winterfell. It’s supposed to be one of the longest extending battle sequences in film or television history.
