‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Trailer Teases an Epic Battle for the Starcourt Mall

Stranger Things is back, baby. After almost a year and a half away from our screens, the Netflix drama will return for its third season on July 4, and today, the streaming giant dropped an official trailer for the highly-awaited installment. Set in the Summer of 1985, Stranger Things Season 3 will continue the story of a group of kids battling supernatural forces in Hawkins, Indiana, but this time, they have a mall to protect. This shit is serious!

“We’re not kids anymore,” says Mike (Finn Wolfhard) towards the beginning of the trailer. “What did you think, we were just going to sit in my basement all day and play games for the rest of our lives?” If the almost three-minute-long clip is any indication, their summer is going to be filled with anything but fun and games. The Stranger Things Season 3 trailer hints at some of the big changes hitting Hawkins in the Summer of ’85: a new mall (the Starcourt Mall) summer flings, jazzercise, and, of course, a supernatural being even more sinister than those they’ve battled in the past. As Netflix teased in its official date announcement, “One summer can change everything.”

Stranger Things Season 3 will feature eight episodes: “Suzie, Do You Copy?”, “The Mall Rats”, “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard”, “The Sauna Test”, “The Source”, “The Birthday”, “The Bite”, and “The Battle of Starcourt.” Netflix unveiled the episode titles in December 2018, and now that the trailer is live, we can finally put those titles to good use and get some hints. That’s right — expect an epic food court battle in the Season 3 finale. If Dustin doesn’t hit a Demogorgon with a Sbarro pizza, I’m out.
