Who knew *Spy Kids* was so beloved by critics? This family-friendly action flick follows a family of spies (okay, two adult spies and their kids, who get roped into the situation) who take down an evil television host and his even-more-evil associate. The 2001 caper went on to make $147 million at the box office and launch a massive franchise, but more importantly, it brought wedded bliss to singer Meghan Trainor: she's married to Juni Cortez, or if you must know his real name, Daryl Sabara.

What begins as a calm vacation quickly turns into a fight for survival as the men are confronted with rapids, crazed locals, and rabid animals. A complete 180 from *I, Daniel Blake*, this musical dramedy follows a singing group made up of four indigenous Australian women, The Sapphires. The year is 1968, and after impressing talent scout Dave (Chris O'Dowd), The Sapphires travel to Vietnam to sing for troops fighting in the war. While it can get dark at times, *The Sapphires* is still a fun tale about the interpersonal dynamics that can help a group succeed -- or cause its downfall.

Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game — ***The Imitation Game***

Based on Andrew Hodges biography of Alan Turing, *The Imitation Game* recounts the story of Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his crack team of British intelligence decoders. During WWII, Turing joined the British government's cryptography team, which attempted to decipher codes from sent from Nazi forces. While the Oscar-winning drama depicts Turing's professional success, it also dramatizes his personal turmoil as a gay man, a lifestyle that, at the time, made him a government target.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty in Bonnie and Clyde — ***Bonnie & Clyde***

Hockey fans, rejoice. *Across the Line* tells the story of Mattie (Stephan James), a high school hockey star in Nova Scotia, Canada. Mattie has a chance to go pro, but his dreams are threatened when he becomes involved in the growing racial tension at school, as well as his brother's criminal enterprise. The first feature film from Canadian Director X, *Across the Line* is a timely drama that will complement Netflix's other teen-centric offerings.

If you name a supernatural bloodline, this 17-year-old's got it, so naturally, she enrolls in the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, where supernatural beings can learn to control their abilities. As Hope begins to hone her powers, she deals with petty squabbles, crushes, schoolwork, and more. *Legacies* just wrapped its first season on The CW, so if you missed it, Netflix is giving you the perfect opportunity to catch up before Season 2 returns in the fall.
