Disney+ Originals: Every Single Show and Movie, Rumored or Confirmed

The streaming landscape is about to get really crowded. Right now Netflix is pretty much the undisputed king of streaming, although Hulu and Amazon’s Prime Video have their fair share of hits and Emmy awards. By the end of the year, though, a few new major players are stepping onto the scene and hoping to steal the spotlight. One player is Apple, who recently announced Apple+. The tech giant’s getting into the content business with originals from J. J. Abrams and starring big names like Chris Evans and Reese Witherspoon. The other major player is, of course, Disney.

While we don’t yet have a launch date for Disney’s streaming service Disney+, we do know a lot about the original content Disney’s been hard at work on. In fact, Disney’s been teasing projects for their previously unnamed streaming service since 2016! There are so many years of built-up content and expectation mixed in with rumors and rumblings, it can be very hard to know what actually is and isn’t part of Disney’s magical streaming kingdom.

That’s where this list comes in. Below you will find every Disney+ project that’s either been confirmed by Disney or rumored in various trade publications or fan sites over the past 3+ years. You’ll find shows and films starring buzzy names (Anna Kendrick, Zoe Kravitz, Tessa Thompson) and plenty new installments in franchises you love (Star Wars, Marvel, the Muppets) as well as more than a few YA adaptations and potential movie remakes (are we really getting another Parent Trap?).

Here’s everything we know about Disney+’s slate of original programming, with more details surely to come on April 11 as part of Disney’s Investor Day webcast. You can also find more information about when projects will be rolled out in this list of what’s coming to Disney+ when it launches on November 12.
