Kristin Cavallari Reveals “Most” of Her Plot Lines on ‘The Hills’ Were Fake

It’s no secret that The Hills altered reality — the show revealed as much in its now-iconic final segment — but it’s still shocking to learn just how much of the drama was scripted. In a March interview with VogueThe Hills: New Beginnings star (and OG Teen Vogue intern) Whitney Port revealed that she never actually went to Paris; she just showed up at LAX with a camera crew, filmed a dramatic goodbye, and went home. Port’s truth bomb made waves at the time, but her revelation didn’t seem to reach Kristin Cavallari, who was asked about the moment Wednesday night on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. While Cavallari admitted that she has “never heard that” Port didn’t actually go to Paris, she said that she’s not surprised that The Hills would fake the plot line, as “most of [her] stuff wasn’t real,” as well.

When asked about her “reaction to Whitney recently saying that the infamous trip to Paris on The Hills never actually happened,” Cavallari played nice. “This is the first I’m hearing about this,” she said. “That was pre-my time.” Cavallari — who will not be joining her former Hills co-stars on the MTV revival due to her E! show, Very Cavallari — went on to say that she’s “never heard that” Port didn’t go to Paris, but she believes it. “I can tell you, most of my stuff wasn’t real. So, I’m going to take that road and say, maybe it’s true,” said the reality star. Looks like Port will always be known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris, too.

WWHL host Andy Cohen tried to change the subject, but Cavallari wasn’t done dishing quite yet (that’s the Laguna girl we know and love). “I’m just happy that more people are finally coming out and saying that stuff isn’t real. Because for the longest time, it was only me,” she said. “So, thank you Whitney.”
