Your library card is about to get quite a workout. Next month, streaming service Kanopy is releasing a stacked slate of critically-acclaimed films, all of which are available to stream ad-free with your public library card or university affiliation. In May, Kanopy is dishing up documentaries, classic films, and soon-to-be-favorites, so no matter your streaming needs, you should have no problem finding something great to watch.
Are you ready for some action? Kanopy has just added Steven Soderbergh’s 2017 drama Logan Lucky, a heist thriller about a family that plans to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway — assuming they don’t get caught by the FBI. With star turns from Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Riley Keough, Daniel Craig, and more, Logan Lucky will send your adrenaline into overdrive. In the mood for something a little tamer? Don’t miss Saoirse Ronan in On Chesil Beach, a film adaptation of the award-winning novella. Come for performances from Ronan and Billy Howle; stay for the story of youthful romance (and all the awkwardness that comes with it).
Curious what else is in store for you next month? Here’s what’s new on Kanopy in May.
