Woman Crush Wednesday: Peyton List is A Badass Babe in ‘Cobra Kai’

Another week means another crushworthy star and this week’s gal is a total badass. For Decider’s Woman Crush Wednesday, let’s give the biggest round of applause for the queen of Cobra Kai, Peyton List!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Peyton List

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: List appears in the second season of the YouTube Premium series Cobra Kai, and boy, does she bring it all. From the first minute she appears on screen we can tell List’s character Tory (yes, with a Y) isn’t a stranger to ass whooping. The boys at Cobra Kai were truly shaking.

Cobra Kai needed some more girl power and they totally got it by casting List. She truly never disappoints. Just when you think that Tory is nothing but a mean fighting machine, we get this super heart-wrenching backstory about how her struggling mom was only able to put food on the table by bringing home leftovers from her waitressing job. Tory does have a hard exterior but once someone is able to crack it, she’s a smart, loyal, and genuine girl. Like any Cobra Kai fighter, Tory thrives on showing no mercy, but that’s only because the rest of the world doesn’t show any for her. List absolutely nails the complexity of Tory with her nuanced performance this season and we just can’t get enough.

If you haven’t watched Season 2 yet, get on it! List brings the heat to the Cobra Kai family, and let’s just say that her fighting skills really shine through during episode 10. But if you have already binged Season 2, join us in our wait for Season 3.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: In addition to her total badassery in Cobra Kai, List has made her rounds on Disney Channel in Jessie, and later on the spinoff Bunk’d, where she played Emma Ross. Most recently, List starred in the Hulu original series, Light as a Feather. List’s character Olivia, is the leader of her friend group and also one of the most popular girls at their high school.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: If you’re loving List just as much as we are, you’re gonna be hella excited about all these new projects. List stars as Courtney in Valley Girl, a musical remake of the 1983 film. It originally was supposed to debut the summer of 2018 but was pulled following a cast controversy. We’re hoping it makes its way to our screens sometime soon though! List also voices Batgirl in the upcoming animated film, Batman: Hush.

She’s also about to star in a new CW series named Glamourous where she plays the super over-the-top YouTube personality AlyssaSays. Our girl is also set to appear in the new comedy Moving Day and a short film named Gothic Springs. Think that’s enough to hold us over until Season 3 of Cobra Kai?
