Real Time With Bill Maher
Last night on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the late night host proposed a plan to end Donald Trump’s presidency once and for all – to have his third wife Melania divorce him. While women can do everything that men can do intellectually, “[they] also have another power: the power of the ultimatum,” said Maher as he begged the first lady to walk out of the White House for good.
Earlier in the episode, a frustrated Maher urged Democrats to “either do something” about the missteps of our current president and alleged obstructions of justice “or stop talking about it.” He then ended his show with a New Rule segment aimed at Melania and Fox News architect Rupert Murdoch’s wife Jerry Hall.
“Melania Trump must do what dozens of buildings around the world have done and take the Trump name off,” Maher exclaimed. “President Hellboy has proved to be impervious to facts, reason, shame and the law, but maybe if you left him for another man he would implode on his own.”
He added: “You can end this reign of terror and all you have to do is channel your Taylor Swift and walk out the door: Kick him to the curb, slap away that hand for good.
No more public embarrassment, no more porn stars, no more stealing your make-up. Tell him, ‘I’m leaving you and I’m taking our child.’ He would be stunned.”
Maher, pulling at strings, then suggested a teamwork approach – inferring that Melania might have an easier go of it if she “did it with a friend.” Here he meant, of course, Mrs. Rupert Murdoch – Jerry Hall.
“You two have a lot in common,” Maher claimed. “Your husbands are ruining our world.” The host then accused Murdoch’s Fox News as being a platform for government propaganda and being on an “insane feedback loop” with Trump (like “that couple who keeps giving each other herpes”).
Lastly, for those who watch the show Maher made a very clever Game of Thrones comparison, claiming that Murdoch and Trump are just like the Night King, “only instead of commanding an army of brain dead zombies…okay, they’re exactly like that.”
