After teen Tyler gets in trouble one time too many back at home in the Valley, his parents ship him out to Malibu and a junior lifeguard program in the hopes that he’ll finally learn some responsibility. But being a junior lifeguard isn’t just chillaxing at the beach. It’s actual hard work–and also people’s lives are at stake! Together with a group of mismatched teens from different walks of life, Tyler and his new pals strive to prove that kids from the Valley can be just as good at saving people from the waves as Malibu teens.

Ricardo Hurtado plays lead troublemaker Tyler and Breanna Yde plays tough girl Gina; both Hurtado and Yde previously appeared on Nickelodeon’s School of Rock TV series. Jackie R. Jacobson (The Night Shift, Speechless) plays Malibu teen lifeguard Dylan. Abby Donnelly (Darbie from Prime Video’s Just Add Magic) plays overachiever Lizzie. Alkoya Brunson (Adam on The Originals) stars as Tyler’s new sidekick. And Haunted Hathaways‘ JT Neal plays the antagonistic Brody.
