‘The View’ Bleeps Joy Behar And Whoopi Goldberg During Anti-Trump Monologues

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar may not want to tone down their attacks on President Trump, but The View‘s producers would probably love it if they did. On Tuesday morning, both Goldberg and Behar were bleeped during a discussion about Trump and Joe Biden, who the president recently called “a low IQ individual.” Goldberg was censored for more than 15 seconds during her expletive-filled monologue, making it difficult to know what she really said, while Behar was bleeped while quoting Trump himself: “[Voters] know about him saying ‘shithole countries,'” said Behar. “You can bleep that.”

At the beginning of Tuesday’s show, The View tackled Trump’s most recent dig at Joe Biden, as well as his decision to side with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un over the former vice president. The co-hosts roasted Trump for calling Biden “a low IQ individual” when “his own appointees” have called him “a moron” and “an idiot.” Goldberg then brought up Trump’s habit of giving his political enemies (and sometimes allies) nasty nicknames. “This is one of his things. He calls people names,” said the moderator. Behar added that “the Democrats can’t do it back,” and Goldberg threw up her hands as she geared up for one of her patented monologues.

“Listen. You can get into the [bleep] if you want to,” replied Goldberg. For the next 15 seconds, barely any of Goldberg’s speech could be heard, as the control room censored words right and left. When she finished speaking, she threw the show to commercial, leaving viewers everywhere wondering what she could have possibly said.

But The View‘s control room wasn’t done quite yet. After the break, the panel continued talking about Biden, who has come under fire for his support of the 1994 crime bill that disproportionally affected black Americans. Trump slammed the bill on Twitter, saying that black voters will punish Biden for his involvement, but The View‘s co-hosts didn’t seem to agree. “Black people know about Charlottesville,” said a fired-up Behar. “And they know about him saying that these are ‘shithole countries.’ You can bleep that.” Bleep that, they did.

Ah, The View. Even on days when the co-hosts play nice, the show always manages to keep things interesting.

Behar’s censored moment begins at the 1:40 mark in the clip above. Goldberg’s was scrubbed out of The View‘s official videos (LOL), but it’s available to stream elsewhere on YouTube.
