Netflix’s ‘The Ranch’ To End After Season 4

Ashton Kutcher’s Netflix comedy The Ranch is about to ride off into the sunset.

The former That ’70s Show star announced on Twitter that the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix multi-cam comedy would be its last. “[The Ranch] is coming to an end, but not just yet,” the actor tweeted. “We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes — 10 streaming later this year (2019) on @netflix, and then 10 more in 2020. Stay tuned!”

Premiering in 2016, the sitcom follows the antics of a former semi-pro football player (Kutcher) who returns home to help his father and brother run the family ranch. The series also stars Sam Elliott, Elisha Cuthbert, and Debra Winger, and most recently featured Dax Shepard, who replaced original cast member Danny Masterson after the latter was fired from the series amid reports of multiple sexual assault allegations.

When the series concludes in 2020, it will have produced an impressive 80 episodes, surpassing Fuller House as Netflix’s longest-running multi-cam comedy.

Over the course of the first three seasons, the Netflix comedy featured an impressive array of guest stars, including Wilmer Valderrama, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jon Cryer, Maggie Lawson, Nancy Travis, Sharon Lawrence, Wendie Malick, Kathy Baker, Megyn Price, and Martin Mull. While both Seasons 2 and 3 of The Ranch premiered in June of 2017 and 2018, respectively, Netflix has yet to announce an official premiere date for the final season.
