Black Mirror Season 5 star Anthony Mackie is staying in the Netflix family. Today, Netflix released the official trailer for Point Blank, a remake of the 2010 French thriller starring Mackie, Frank Grillo, Marcia Gay Harden, and more. Like the original film, the new Point Blank adaptation follows an ER nurse who teams up with a career criminal to save his pregnant wife from a ring of corrupt cops. If that doesn’t scream “action-packed summer blockbuster,” we don’t know what does.

Netflix’s Point Blank trailer first introduces us to Paul (Mackie) and his pregnant wife. They seem happily married and excited about the baby, but their bliss doesn’t last long: just a few seconds into the trailer, Paul is knocked unconscious, and when he wakes, he realizes that his wife has been kidnapped. “Last night, a man was taken to your hospital,” the hostage negotiator says on the phone. “I need you to get him out.” Paul proceeds to do some morally dubious things — he defibrillates a police officer in an elevator! — to help Abe (Grillo), a wanted murder suspect, escape, and before long, the two team up to help Paul get his wife back.

But Abe isn’t exactly innocent in all this, either. He’s determined to kill the “dirty cops” who took Paul’s wife, a process that seems to involve a lot of shooting, hand-to-hand fighting, and witty banter. “This is some real Grand Theft Auto shit,” says Paul after a particularly intense car chase. “I’m a fucking grown up, man. I don’t play video games,” replies Abe. “Well, maybe you should try to help you with your aggression,” says Paul. These two got jokes!

Of course, at the end of the day, Point Blank is about one man’s quest to do whatever it takes to save his wife and unborn child. “Everybody’s always saying, I’ll do anything for my family,” says Abe in a particularly tense moment. “This is as fucking ‘anything’ as it gets.” Indeed, it is.
