Warner Bros. San Diego Comic-Con Schedule Includes Final ‘Supernatural’, ‘Arrow’ Panels

San Diego Comic-Con, the annual pop culture extravaganza that engulfs the worlds of TV, movies, games and more is only a month away. And as usual, Warner Bros. Television is going big on the con, rolling out an insane amount of screenings and panels, including the world premiere of Hulu’s new season of Veronica Mars, and the final San Diego panels ever for Supernatural and Arrow.

Comic-Con, if you don’t know, is one of the biggest fan and entertainment events of the year. And at least partially due to Warner Bros. go big or go home annual presence, the festival has turned from movies and the titular comics to television standing preeminent. With multiple shows on multiple networks, in the past that meant bringing cast and footage from comic book based shows like The Flash and Gotham, as well as nerd friendly affairs like The Big Bang Theory.

This year’s line-up holds suit, with no less than 14 panels, signings and a presence at the joint Warner Bros./DC booth, in addition to their traditional Wednesday night (July 17) screenings of upcoming pilots. That block will last from 6 pm to 10 pm PT, and include world premiere screenings of the pilots for The CW’s Batwoman, Epix’s Pennyworth (focusing on Batman’s butler before he buttled), and DC Universe’s animated Harley Quinn. There will also be a screening of the FOX thriller Prodigal Son, and a never before seen episode of Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans GO!.

But the main draw (other than the return of Riverdale to the massive Hall H on Sunday, July 21, of course) are the final panels for The CW’s Arrow and Supernatural.

The Arrow panel will happen at 3:30 pm on Saturday, July 20 in the still massive but slightly smaller Ballroom 20’s nearly all day long CW extravaganza. With Arrow airing an abbreviated 10-episode long Season 8 this Fall, series lynchpin Emily Bett Rickards no longer part of the cast, and the season leading directly into the show-spanning “Crisis on Infinite Earths” event, fans will have lots of questions for the cast.

Then there’s Supernatural, which will hold its traditional Hall H panel on Sunday, July 21 at 10:30 am. After 15 seasons, the Winchester boys (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) and angel Castiel (Misha Collins) will be hanging up their demon killing guns for good. The hour long panel promises a screening of footage and Q&A, and if the goodbye tour for the show so far has been any indication, there won’t be a dry eye in the house.

On the streaming front, Veronica Mars will premiere with a screening of its first Season 4 episode, and DC Universe is working hard to prove the reports of its demise have been greatly exaggerated with screenings and news about TitansDoom PatrolYoung Justice: Outsiders and the aforementioned Harley Quinn.
