You’re going to want to select Magnolia Selects next month. In July, Magnolia Pictures’ streaming service is adding a brand-spanking-new slate of movies and documentaries to their already impressive library. For just $4.99/month — you can sign up for a 7-day free trial here — subscribers are granted access to tons of critically-acclaimed titles and indie flicks from Magnolia Pictures. Talk about a steal.
Magnolia Selects’ July lineup includes something for everyone to enjoy. Are you in the mood for a star-studded dramedy? Check out A Long Way Down, starring Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul, and Imogen Poots as four strangers who meet on a London roof, each with the intent of committing suicide. It doesn’t sound funny, but we swear, it is. If you’re feeling something a bit darker, don’t miss A Royal Affair, Nikolaj Arcel’s 18th Century-set drama about the court of King Christian VII of Denmark. The bulk of the film follows Christian VII’s wife (Alicia Vikander) as she begins an affair with the royal physician (Mads Mikkelsen), a pro-Enlightenment German.
