Fans of Designated Survivor were beyond stoked when Netflix rescued the show from cancellation last year. The only problem: Netflix seasons drop all at once, so odds are you’ve already binged all of Season 3 now that it’s been out for a few weeks. You want more Designated Survivor, and we’re still not sure when Season 4 is going to come out (or if it will happen!).

However, there actually is another season of Designated Survivor hitting Netflix–and it’s out today! Well, sorta. Intrigued? Keep reading!

What is Designated Survivor: 60 Days on Netflix?

Okay, this is actually a Korean remake of the Kiefer Sutherland series. Wow, didn’t know that was a thing, did you? The series is a Netflix co-production with Entertainment One and Studio Dragon and debuts on Netflix globally today. The series actually has the exact same premise: a terrorist attack takes out all the high-ranking politicians and leaves someone totally unexpected in charge of the country and tasked with finding out who orchestrated the destruction.

And yeah, there actually is a presidential order of succession in South Korea. However, there is one major difference, and it’s right there in the title. South Korea’s constitution dictates that after the line of succession is triggered, the acting president has to hold a new election within 60 days. That puts a time limit on the Korean adaptation.

Who is in the Designated Survivor: 60 Days cast?

Ji Jin-hee (Helios) plays the Minister of Environment, a former chemistry teacher with zero desire to climb any political ladder. The series also stars Lee Joon-hyuk (Stranger), Heo Joon-ho (Kingdom), and Kang Han-na.

Is there a Designated Survivor: 60 Days trailer?

You bet there is, although it’s more of a teaser. You can also find an extended version of the teaser on Netflix proper.

There’s also a longer trailer from South Korean TV network TVN, although it lacks subtitles for those that don’t speak Korean.

Designated Survivor: 60 Days is now streaming on Netflix.
