This summer Netflix is about to take us all back to the Upside Down with the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3. That’s right: the Duffer brothers’ beloved ode to ’80s nostalgia, Dungeons & Dragons, and sci-fi horror is back. But what time can you watch Stranger Things 3?

Released in July of 2016, Stranger Things has become one of the most beloved shows on Netflix, and on television as a whole. The series largely follows Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), a mysterious girl who appears in the small town of Hawkins around the same time as Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) disappears. But as the series has unfolded it’s moved away from that mystery to become a wider-reaching saga about friendship, family, and kicking Demogorgon butt.

So when can you expect new episodes of Stranger Things Season 3? And what do you need to remember from last season? Here’s everything you need to know.

When Will Stranger Things Season 3 Be on Netflix? When Is the Stranger Things Season 3 Netflix Release Date?

This week you have something else to celebrate besides America’s birthday. Stranger Things Season 3 premieres on Thursday, July 4. That means you have something to watch while you’re grilling.

When Is Stranger Things Season 3’s Release Time? What Time Does Stranger Things Season 3 Air?

If you’re on the East Coast, you’re going to either be staying up late or getting up early. Stranger Things 3 premieres at 3 a.m. ET. However if you live on the West Coast of the United States, your binge watch is going to be a bit more manageable. Season 3 will premiere at midnight PT.

Is There Any Other Way to Watch Stranger Things? Is Stranger Things on Hulu?

No matter how much other streaming services may joke about canceling Stranger Things, they can’t. The beloved sci-fi drama is only available on Netflix. That means you’re going to need a Netflix subscription (or at the very least a password) to watch Millie Bobby Brown mess up some evil.

What Do I Need to Remember Before Stranger Things Season 3?

It’s been almost two years since Stranger Things‘ second season, so it makes sense that you’d be a little rusty. Don’t worry; we have your back.

The ninth and final episode of Stranger Things Season 2 saw Eleven and her friends join together in a plan to close the gate to the Upside Down. While Eleven and Hopper went to the lab to close the portal, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Max lured the Demodogs away from their friends. Meanwhile Jonathan, Nancy, and Joyce tried to overheat poor Will in an attempt to force the deadly Demo-virus out of him.

It all ended in happy endings for everyone… mostly. The kids escaped the hellhounds, Will was brought back to his normal self, and Eleven was able to defeat the Mind Flayer. At least temporarily. The only casualty last season was Sean Astin’s sweet Bob, but c’mon. We all knew that was coming.

But Season 2 didn’t end on a note of endless hope and peace. As the kids enjoyed some innocent fun at their school’s winter dance, a shadow monster could be seen looming over the school. If we were a betting site, we’d say this season’s main challenge will focus on everyone versus the Mind Flayer.
