Meghan McCain Urges Jeffrey Epstein’s Victims to “Tell Their Story” on ‘The View’

On Tuesday morning, the women of The View tackled the biggest news story of the day: billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest for allegedly sex trafficking underage women and children. While the panel was careful to qualify their statements, they came out harshly against Epstein and others involved in the case, including current Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta. After denouncing Epstein’s alleged crimes as “absolutely disgusting” — according to the New York Post, the billionaire has been charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy for allegedly luring girls as young as 14 to his home — co-host Meghan McCain invited his victims to come on the ABC daytime show to speak their truth. “If they are open to speaking and giving interviews, I think The View is a good place for them to come on and tell their story,” said McCain.

The View‘s panel wasted no time before slamming Epstein as “disgusting.” After Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin agreed that Acosta, who gave Epstein a “sweetheart” plea deal in 2008 for a similar offense, “has to resign,” McCain spoke up and ripped those involved, regardless of their political affiliations. “All giant political hands are dirty in this,” said the conservative firebrand. “I think this is disgusting,” she added, saying that the situation reminded her “of the R. Kelly documentary” on Lifetime, Surviving R. Kelly. “Obviously there are things I can’t say on daytime television, but it’s absolutely disgusting,” said McCain. “The worst kind of bile in society has to do with young women being sexually abused underage, pedophilia — it’s the grossest kind of things that exist in the world.”

Towards the end of the Hot Topics segment, McCain made an offer to Epstein’s alleged victims. “I think we should interview the victims here, too,” she said. “If they are open to speaking and giving interviews, I think The View is a good place for them to come on and tell their story.”

“Let’s bring them all on,” added Joy Behar. “And bring Trump’s girls — the women who have accused him, too. All 14 of them. Let’s see them, too.” Goldberg agreed, but was hesitant. “You kind of have to break it out,” she explained. “You have to do it in a timely fashion and in a clear fashion so people know exactly what we’re talking about.”
