In the mood for a steamy and mysterious thriller about tantalizing friendship and dark secrets? Then Hulu has your back with its recent addition of Clique.

Created by Jess Brittain — who originally wrote for Skins — this six-episode drama was first released as part of BBC Three’s online viewing schedule before it aired on BBC One. And it’s just as scandalous and cutthroat as its name implies. The show’s first season follows two best friends during their first year at university, Aisling Franciosi’s upbeat, party-going Georgia Cunningham and Synnøve Karlsen’s quiet and mysterious Holly. When they first arrive in Edinburgh, all they want to do is drink, have fun, and maybe learn a thing or two. But as the school year progresses, Holly finds herself drawn to an exclusive group of women led by Economics professor Jude McDermid (Louise Brealey).

As Holly becomes more entranced by Jude’s secretive Solasta Women’s Initiative and Jude’s unique brand of feminism, she’s pulled further away from her friendship with Georgia. The rest of the series follows Holly as she navigates this new and potentially dangerous world, balancing her changing relationship with her former best friend, trying to figure out who she is in this new environment, and starting to expose this organization’s hypocrisies. Oh, and the more invested Holly becomes in Solasta Women’s Initiative, the more her dark past threatens to emerge. The series is a twisting tale of lies and secrets told through cult-like meetings and dark nightclubs. Plus, with only six hourlong episodes per season, it’s a remarkably easy binge watch.

Currently both seasons of Clique are available on Hulu. That means you can knock out this risqué psychological thriller over a long weekend if you’re really dedicated. If you’re still missing Pretty Little Liars and need a juicy replacement, check out Clique. It delivers on all the mystery and scandal, but with a fraction of the time commitment.
