Has the news that Friends is officially leaving Netflix and moving to WarnerMedia’s new platform, HBO Max, left you feeling many different, conflicting emotions? Us too!

Maybe you think the only remedy is to hole up with cartons of takeout and binge the sitcom until it goes to HBO Max, watching Friends on a loop until it disappears from your life for good. Or maybe you’re planning on partying until you drop, trying to forget. Or maybe you’re thinking about watching a different sitcom instead (ha ha, as if).

But fear not, dear reader! For now, you can still indulge in 10 seasons of questionable ’90s hairdos and people who drink too much coffee. HBO Max doesn’t launch until Spring of 2020, so regardless of what you’re feeling, there’s plenty of time to revisit your favorite show.

The thing is, not all Friends episodes are created equal; sometimes you’re just feeling certain ones over others. So here’s a guide to what Friends episode to watch, depending on your mood. And as we mentioned, we know you’re going to be feeling a lot of different moods as we slowly move towards Friends leaving Netflix, so hang tight, and keep our list close.

When you just wanna laugh...

"The One Where Everybody Finds Out" (Season 5, Episode 14)

Giphy

Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) make ~moves~ to try and get Monica (Courtney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) to come clean about their relationship. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) complains about being forced to keep secrets. Ross (David Schwimmer) gets naked with Ugly Naked Guy. But, in the end, FINALLY everyone knows (and everyone knows that everyone knows) about Monica and Chandler’s secret fling. It’s a hilarious, go-to episode — albeit pretty uncomfortable to watch at points, like when Chandler and Phoebe kiss… Shivers.

When you're feeling sappy...

"The One with the Proposal, Part 1 & 2" (Season 6, Episode 24/25)

Giphy

Grab that box of tissues, because we guarantee that you will cry watching this double-length episode. Chandler spends days trying to propose to Monica, coming up against major road blocks (an unfortunate table placement next to her ex-boyfriend Richard, a poorly thought out tactic to pretend to hate marriage, Richard again). While the episodes are interspersed with the hilarious one liners Friends is known for, it’s also one of the most heartwarming chapters in the gang’s story line.

When your ex is dating someone new...

"The One Where Ross Is Fine" (Season 10, Episode 2)

Giphy

After Ross stumbles in on Rachel and Joey’s make out sesh, his ability to deal with his ex-girlfriend and best friend dating is… Questionable, at best. But we totally understand Ross’ reaction and we’re sure you’ll be able to sympathize: sometimes you just need a good cry into your fourth margarita to get past someone. And TBH, we always thought the Rachel/Joey pairing was bizarre, too. Now go get yourself some tequila and flan.

When you're getting ready to go out...

"The One Where No One's Ready" (Season 3, Episode 2)

Giphy

We’re also guilty of putting on a quick Friends episode before the pregame — or during, no judgement! But some episodes are better at setting the mood than others. For instance, what better way to figure out what to wear (because you have nothing in your closet) than taking a fashion hint from Joey Tribbiani? In The One Where No One’s Ready, Ross attempts to usher the gang out of the apartment for an important event at the museum. But the later it gets, the more things go horribly wrong for everyone. Procrastinate going out by watching other people procrastinate going out? Could this BE any more perfect?

When you're hungover...

"The One After Vegas" (Season 6, Episode 1)

Giphy

Good morning! It’s noon, you have a raging headache, maybe you even woke up next to someone new. Watch this episode if you want to feel less bad about the mistakes you made last night — unless you ALSO got married to an ex in Vegas. Then godspeed, my friend.

When you're feeling festive...

"The One with the Holiday Armadillo" (Season 7, Episode 10)

Giphy

Whether a holiday is approaching, or you’ve been hit with that spirit in the heat of July, watching this Friends episode should be high on your to-do list. Ross tries to teach his young son, Ben, about their Jewish heritage, but is overshadowed by the appeal of Christmas. When Ben gets upset that Santa isn’t visiting him, Ross gives in and decides to buy a Santa suit, but finds all the shops are sold out. And thus, the Holiday Armadillo, Santa’s part-Jewish friend, is born. It’s a great episode to learn about a mix of traditions and religions, appreciate what parents go through in the month of December, and watch Joey as Superman attempt to tell the story of Hanukkah.

When you're being dramatic...

"The One with Ross's Sandwich" (Season 5, Episode 9)

Giphy

“Someone ate the only good thing going on in my life.” Truer words have never been spoken. A co-worker has eaten Ross’ sandwich and he’s…not happy, per se. And you know what? We feel him. The guy’s on his second divorce, he just got evicted, and now he’s hungry, too. If you want someone to commiserate with, Ross is your guy. Think you’re being dramatic? At least your boss didn’t have to put you on sabbatical over cold turkey.

When you can't sleep....

"The One Where They're Up All Night" (Season 7, Episode 12)

Giphy

Can’t sleep? The gang is in similar situation. Sort of. Ross and Joey are trapped on the roof after searching for a comet. Phoebe can’t turn off her fire alarm. Monica falls asleep during sex. And Rachel believes Tag forgot to mail an important package, until they get to the office and she discovers it on her desk instead. Yikes! Evidently, all of these people are having a worse middle-of-the-night than you. Maybe this knowledge will comfort you in some way, or at least provide an entertaining hiatus from your insomnia.

When you're emotional that 'Friends' is leaving Netflix...

"The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate" (Season 1, Episode 1)

Giphy

Though Friends is just moving to a different streaming platform, it does feel like the end of the era in a way. We’re sad to see this show leave Netflix (and even sadder at the prospect of paying more money to watch it), but to quote Green Day — and every graduation ceremony ever — “I hope you had the time of your life,” my fellow fans. Now, let’s throw it back to the first episode of the series, and relive where it all began.
