‘Curious Creations’ Star Christine McConnell Returns with Creepy and Crafty Web Series

Christine McConnell is back, and that is cause for celebration. Following Netflix’s unceremonious cancellation of The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell, the macabre Martha Stewart just launched a new web series that provides an even more in-depth look at how she conjures her creepy crafts. The first episode of From the Mind of Christine McConnell features the bewitching homemaker as she transforms a ’70s pullout couch found on Craigslist into an Edwardian masterpiece suitable for hosting nightmares (and also guests).

This is a big deal for the dedicated Curious Creations fans out there, as we’ve gone far too long without McConnell’s off-kilter take on crafting. The show is decidedly different from the acclaimed Netflix show. For one thing, there are no puppets (I miss you, Rose and Rankle!). Also, this show actually shows you how McConnell concocts her crafts in step-by-step detail. Whereas the process took a bit of a backseat to puppets and plot in Curious Creations, you may actually come away with From the Mind of Christine McConnell with some real tips and tricks.

You’ll search high and low for a collective that was as into the show as Team Decider (seriously–the show made it onto 7 of our Best of 2018 lists). Having more of the kooky and spooky creations in our lives is definitely a good thing. And if you like what you see above, you can check out McConnell’s Patreon, which will fund future installments of her new series.
