How to Watch San Diego Comic-Con Live

The biggest event of the year for pop culture fans is here: San Diego’s Comic-Con International! The con to end all cons takes over the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego every July for a week of nonstop nerdery and epic, franchise-defining announcements. San Diego Comic-Con is the place to be for pretty much everyone who likes anything, it is that big.

But what about those of us who can’t make it out to sunny San Diego? There’s room for hundreds of thousands of fans in the convention center, but there are millions of us that are eager to find out what’s going down at SDCC. Can you live stream any panels and events at Comic-Con? Here are As to all your Qs.

When is Comic Con in San Diego 2019?

San Diego Comic-Con kicks off on with a preview night on Wednesday, July 17 and begins in earnest on Thursday, July 18. The con runs from Thursday to Sunday, July 21.

Can you stream San Diego Comic Con panels?

Bad news, y’all–you cannot! Comic-Con has a strict policy against livestreaming panels, meaning you won’t be able to see official feeds from panel rooms and, if security is tough enough, you won’t find any sneaky Instagram or YouTube live feeds from the audience either. Bummer, but this is why people shell out the big bucks to attend Comic-Con!

Is there a Comic Con Hall H livestream?

As the most exclusive panel room at Comic-Con (or any comic con), the answer to this is a big “no.” Hall H is where the biggest movie studios (Marvel Studios) and TV shows (The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones) call home, and fans camp out for hours, even days, for the chance to grab a spot in one of the massive room’s tiny and uncomfortable metal chairs. And just like with every other panel room at Comic-Con, there is no Hall H livestream. Come on, do you think people would willingly sleep outside on the sidewalk with a thousand strangers overnight if they could just watch the cast of The Witcher take the Hall H stage on YouTube, just to find out when does The Witcher come out on Netflix? Well, probably. Fans are intense.

There is some good news, though. While you can’t livestream the Comic-Con panels, a lot of panels are taped and either uploaded to YouTube later by official channels or released as special features on various TV or movie releases after the con concludes. That doesn’t help you out this weekend, of course, but there’s still a possibility you’ll get to see video of your favorite TV show cast on a stage, holding water bottles and messing around with name signs. Someday.

When is Marvel’s Comic Con panel?

The Marvel Studios Hall H panel takes place on Saturday, July 20 from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. PT. If you’re on the East coast, that’s 8:15 to 9:45 p.m. ET. While you can’t livestream the Marvel Studios Hall H presentation, you can at least be kept up to date with what’s being announced if you’re on Twitter during that time period. There’s no video, but there will be live updates from within the room by members of the press (and really just anyone with a Twitter account).

Is there a list of Comic Con TV panels?

There are so many panels during the Comic Con exhibit hall hours, including one for seemingly every single TV show. You can find a list of every Comic-Con TV panel from Arrow to Walking Dead right here.

What Comic Con coverage can you stream?

While there’s no official livestream of any of the panels, plenty of outlets create their own coverage live during Comic-Con and livestream it out to those missing the convention. Here are some sites to check out for live Comic-Con coverage, including celebrity interviews and on-the-ground action, this weekend:
