This weekend, one of the summer’s biggest movies finally opens in theaters: The Lion King. Though it follows in the trend of Disney’s live-action remakes of its beloved animated films, the 2019 Lion King is not technically live-action—it’s photorealistic computer animation. That fact has left many questioning what exactly the point of the movie is—besides money— but an all-star cast of voice actors that includes Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, John Oliver, Billy Eichner, and more has others excited.

Whether you’re jazzed about the new Lion King or shaking your fist at those hyper-realistic CGI lions, we can agree on one thing: The original, animated 1994 film, The Lion King, is a great movie. I mean, Elton John songs? A lion love story? Stars in the sky that spell out “SEX”? There’s so much good stuff in there. The Lion King is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, but you’ll have to pay for it, and it’s rather expensive. It’s $13.99 to buy the film, and at this time, you can’t rent it. But c’mon, it’s The Lion King. You want to own that film.
