When Austen Kroll broke up with girlfriend Madison LeCroy earlier this season on Southern Charm, best bud Craig Conover’s prescription was for them to watch Frozen together because “That’s what I do when I’m sad.” Hey, it’s not a bad suggestion! Austen agreed and now the guys have gathered to watch the animated classic many times. But this week, their dreams really came true when they attended Frozen on Broadway here in New York City.
Craig took to his Instagram stories last night to announce, “Alright, so we are on our way to Frozen live, compliments of Disney Theatrical Productions and it’s amazing, I think it’s the best day of my life.”
“Austen, how excited are you?” he asked his friend in the seat next to him. “I’m pretty stoked,” he admitted. “But Craig, we’re not sad but we’re still going to see Frozen!” he realized.
“Oh yeah, we’re watching Frozen happy, we’re not even sad this time,” Craig said, but that of course didn’t dim any excitement for the pair. In fact, they appeared to have such a good time, including their purchase of beverages in Frozen cups at the show, they went out to a bar afterward to sing along with Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”.
Earlier this week, Decider caught up with the Southern Charm stars (and, ahem, we’re the ones that even told them the Broadway show existed) and asked about the last time they had a Frozen viewing party.
“Craig man, we haven’t done it [in a while],” Austen laughed. Craig seemed to vaguely remember it was after a night of hanging out with friends from the LA Kings (Austen’s memory was not so sharp), but definitely recalled that they “made pizza and drank wine and watched Frozen.”
Plus, they’re both already counting down the days until Frozen 2 arrives in theaters, this November. They even briefly worried that BravoCon (which they hope to attend!) would conflict with opening weekend, but they’re in luck: the movie will be in theaters the following weekend on November 22nd.
Southern Charm airs Wednesday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo.
