All good things must come to an end, and that includes Riverdale Season 3. Though the series wrapped up on The CW on May 15, Archie Comics has been trucking along with behind-the-scenes stories in their “Riverdale Season 3” comic book, which tells tales between the episodes to help flesh out the characters and situations a little more. That’ll be finishing up too, though, with this month’s fifth issue of the series — though to help ease the pain a little bit, Decider has an exclusive look inside the book.

Written by Micol Ostow, with art by Thomas Pitilli and Joe Eisma, the final issue tells two stories, one focusing on the short-time pairing of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), the other following the River Vixens as they hit some serious trouble on the road to a cheerleading competition. As usual with this book, it neatly helps address the questions fans have been asking about during the season, in this case “can we see more #Archosie” and “hey, who exactly is on the River Vixens, again?”

For the former, a few notes of context in case you forgot. After Archie was mauled by a bear and cleared of a murder rap, he had hit rock bottom. Thanks to Josie, he pulled himself out of his funk, took up boxing (and singing? maybe?) and started smooching the former Pussycat, right on the mouth. The story follows up on that, showing how Josie got out of her own funk, thanks to Archie — and helping lead right into the big decision that feeds into the upcoming Katy Keene spinoff series.

For the latter, that includes Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) taking her cheer squad on the road, including Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Toni (Vanessa Morgan) and more. We’ve been promised more River Vixens shenanigans and sports in Season 4, so this story will hopefully help get you psyched.
