This weekend is officially called the weekend of ‘ahhh, finally.’ Not only did the heatwave finally break and the week finally come to a close, but some of the most highly-anticipated movies and TV shows are finally coming to our favorite streaming services! Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and HBO have finally granted our wishes and are lining up a weekend full of returning favorites, long-awaited finales and the comedies, dramas and action shows/movies you never knew you needed until now.

The seventh and final season of Orange is The New Black is finally here, and we are all for it! Follow your favorite Litchfield ladies during their last season of this highly-acclaimed prison dramedy. Will Piper successfully rejoin society post-release? Will Red’s dementia get any worse? And will the ongoing drug rings, turf wars and general prison mishaps finally break the resolve of our favorite inmates? Hopefully at least some of them get a happy ending, but we will only find out after binge-watching the entire season this weekend.

If OITNB has whet your appetite for powerful, take-charge women, be sure to check out Widows on HBO July 27. Viola Davis stars in the heist film that explores what happens when the wives of deceased criminals have to pay their husbands debts. Secondary characters no more, these women do what it takes to finish the work their men never even started—ugh, you gotta love a lady who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.

Orange Is the New Black Season 7

It is the moment we have all been waiting for: Orange is The New Black is back for its seventh and final season. One last time will we follow the ladies of Litchfield as they deal with the events that left them at the end of last season. Piper, now married to Alex, is out of jail and trying to acclimate back into civilian life, Taystee Jefferson is facing a life sentence after being wrongfully convicted for murdering a guard, Blanca is now being held in the new PolyCon/ICE detainment facility and that is just the tip of the iceberg for the characters that we have come to really know and love. Watch as this iconic series comes to a close, and keep your fingers crossed that at least some of our favorite jailbirds get happy endings.

Widows

Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder) sticks true to her fierce female roots in the 2018 heist film Widows. After renowned thief Harry Rawlings (Liam Neeson) is killed with his partners during a bank robbery gone wrong, his wife Veronica (Davis) is threatened by a dangerous crime boss to repay her late husband’s debt of $2 million. In order to pay back her husband’s debt, Veronica enlists the help of Alice Gunner (Elizabeth Debicki) and Linda Perelli (Michelle Rodriguez), the widows of Rawling’s deceased partners, to execute a bank heist that was planned by her husband before his death. Will these daring ladies successfully pull off what their husband’s couldn’t, or are they just in way over their heads? Find out in Widows.
