New Seasons of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Coming to VH1

VH1 wants everyone to know that there’s still puh-lenty of gas left in the tank, mama. The network has revealed that both RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars have been given the green light for new seasons. The flagship series RuPaul’s Drag Race will return for Season 12 and introduce a whole new crop of superstars to the show’s legions of fans. All Stars, wherein queens from previous seasons return for one more chance to enter the Drag Race Hall of Fame, will come back for Season 5.

The news comes hot on the heels of the franchise’s 14 Emmy nominations at this year’s upcoming Emmy Awards, spanning Drag Race, All Stars, Untucked, and more. And we can’t forget that Drag Race is the current reigning champion of the Outstanding Reality Competition Program, having snagged that trophy at last year’s Emmys. Ru herself has won the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program three years in a row, and could continue the streak at this year’s ceremony.

Further information about the new seasons has yet to be revealed. However, if we were to make a guess going off how VH1 has scheduled the shows in the past, it’s likely we’ll see All Stars 5 in either December 2019 or January 2020, and Season 12 will follow in either late February or March 2020. But again, that’s just wild speculation!
