Executive produced by Charlize Theron, Netflix’s newest racing reality series follows a group of drivers in custom cars competing on some of the biggest, baddest obstacle courses ever constructed. Hosted by Lindsay Czarniak, Michael Bisping, Mike Hill, and Rutledge Wood, Hyperdrive has been described as “American Ninja Warrior meets Fast and Furious. Buckle up because all ten Season 1 episodes are currently streaming on Netflix.

Are you ready to meet the drivers of Netflix’s newest reality racing series? Then downshift to neutral as we present a few of the most popular drivers from the cast of Hyperdrive.

The Hyperdrive obstacle courses can be challenging enough, but the pressure was immense for 22-year-old Stacey Lee May. Not only did her father sell his tow truck so May could compete, but it was the first time the South African native had ever been to America. Known as “the queen of smoke,” the prolific spinner drives a 1986 BMW E30 3 Series.

A law student by day and prolific racer by night, May has said that she got into spinning after being bullied in high school. Not only has Stacey been profiled by a variety of outlets, she became a brand ambassador for Nike after one of her spinning videos went viral.

You can keep tabs on Stacey’s career by following the racer on Facebook and Instagram.

Fielding Shredder

Shredder, who drives a 1997 Nissan 240SX S14, has the honor of being the first contestant in Hyperdrive history. The 33-year old rally instructor from Texas is a professional drift car racer/car builder who’s sponsored by Kenda Tires.

If you’re a fan of Shredder, you’ll surely be interested in watching him watch Hyperdrive. The racer uploaded a Hyperdrive watch party video to his YouTube page. You can follow Fielding Shredder’s career on Instagram.

Brittany Williams

Despite being relatively new to the racing game, 28-year old Texas native Brittany Williams is ranked number four out of 34 racers on the Lone Star Drift. Known as “the natural,” Williams is behind the wheel of a 2008 Nissan 350Z. Brittany was recently the subject of a feature on espnW where she spoke about how she broke into the sport, the camaraderie of the drifting community, and some of the scarier moments from her career.

“Drifting has gut-wrenching moments,” Williams said. “I’ve T-boned a wall, gone about 50 miles an hour sideways. But, I’m always prepared — I’m fully caged in, I’ve got a fire extinguisher in there, I’m harnessed in. So, yes, it’s scary to hit a wall, but I know I’m fine. Besides the feeling when I drive is priceless.”

Diego Higa

Driving a 2006 Ford Mustang GT, 21-year-old Brazilian drifter Diego Higa is known as “the baby-faced assassin.” Finishing second in the King of Nations Championship grand finale, Higa was literally born into the sport. His father is one of the original Brazilian drifters, and Higa’s recent performances prove that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

If you happen to find yourself in Brazil with an extra $7,800, Diego runs a drift school.

Winner of the 2016 and 2017 Queen of Europe competition, Karolina Pilarczyk is widely considered to be the best female drifter in Europe.

Born and raised in Poland, Pilarczyk didn’t grow up with a Motorsport background and fell into the sport after going to a driving academy in an effort to improve her driving. While she’s associated with her recognizable pink Nissan, the racer has said that if money was no object she’d want to drive a “Nissan S15 with LSX engine.
