Netflix Unveils Details & Shares Teaser Trailer For ‘Breaking Bad’ Jesse Pinkman Film

You know that Breaking Bad movie starring Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman that everyone has been talking about? Well it appears it is now ready for release and coming to Netflix sooner than we all thought.

The film, titled El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, is slated to be released on Netflix on October 11, with a favorite from the series returning, popular blue meth cook Jesse Pinkman who once prided himself on his secret ingredient: chili powder. In the last season of the show, Jesse was last seen leaving a Nazi compound while driving off into the distance.

Details for the film were spotted by a Reddit user after Netflix posted a short description of the film online. The platform’s brief synopsis reads, “Fugitive Jesse Pinkman runs from his captors, the law, and his past.”

As previously reported by Variety, the film was written and directed by original series creator Vince Gilligan, and will air on AMC following its Netflix premiere. During its successful television residency, the series aired on AMC from 2008 to 2013.

It is unclear whether everyone’s favorite character, Walter White aka Heisenberg (played by Bryan Cranston), will return in the film. Cranston has previously confirmed that the film was happening but would not reveal any details on whether or not he would be involved. Since it appears the movie takes place post-Breaking Bad, it is unlikely Cranston will appear unless for a brief flashback or something.

Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Charles Newirth, Diane Mercer and Aaron Paul are producing the film with Sony Pictures Television. There was also a tense teaser trailer released once the news broke which you can watch above.
