How Can I Watch The Affair Season 5?

Why Did Ruth Wilson Want to Leave The Affair?

We still don’t know. Last year Showtime announced that it would be killing Wilson’s character Allison off as part of a “powerful creative decision.” But it didn’t take long for Wilson to dispute that claim. In an interview with the New York Times the actress said “there is a much bigger story” but revealed she’s not allowed to discuss it.

Many have speculated that Wilson’s frustration with the drama had to do with not being paid as much as her co-star Dominic West. Yet in the same interview Wilson shot that theory down. “It isn’t about pay parity, and it wasn’t about other jobs,” Wilson said. “But I’m really not allowed to talk about it.” Perhaps as the final season of this show continues, Wilson will open up a bit more about what actually happened.

Where Was The Affair Filmed?

For its first three seasons The Affair was filmed in Montauk, New York. But most of Season 4 took place in California, specifically in Morro Beach and Embarcadero. It’s likely that Season 5 will use many of the same sets and locations.
