Is ‘Mayans M.C.’ Season 2 on Hulu?

Created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James, Mayans M.C. takes place in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy and follows the Mayan Motorcycle Club, SAMCRO’s longtime rivals turned allies. The series revolves around the rise of prospect EZ Reyes (JD Pardo), a former inmate with a sorted past who comes to join the Mayans through duplicitous means. There’s betrayal, backstabbing, murders, drug runs, and some of the most jaw-dropping fight scenes on television. What we’re saying is you won’t want to miss this. And this season you don’t have to.

Is Mayans M.C. Season 2 on Hulu?

It depends on what kind of Hulu subscription you have. If you have a basic or commercial-free plan, sadly you’re out of luck. Currently only Season 1 of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff series is on the platform.

But if you have Hulu + Live TV, you should be all set. Mayans M.C. is an FX show, and since FX is part of Hulu’s Live TV package new episodes of Season 2 will be included.

Is Mayans M.C. on Hulu?

Technically the answer to this is yes, but the season you’re probably looking for isn’t on Hulu at large. Season 1 of Mayans M.C. is now on all versions of Hulu. To watch Season 2 you’re going to either need a cable subscription or a live TV plan through Hulu, Sling TV, YouTube, or a similar streaming service.

When Will Mayans Season 2 be on Hulu?

It all comes down to windowing rights. At the moment FX has exclusive streaming rights to its originals for 45 days after their finale. After that 45-day period all FX shows enter a blackout zone, meaning these new seasons are only available through Video on Demand (VOD) and home entertainment. A blackout zone typically lasts for seven to nine months before new seasons are added to other streaming services.

Of course now that Disney owns FX and is the primary shareholder of Hulu, there’s a chance that this timeframe may be reduced. But for now we can probably expect Mayans M.C. Season 2 to hit Hulu’s basic and commercial free plans late next summer.

How Can You Watch Mayans M.C.?

If you want to watch the grittiest bikers around (and we know you do) then you’re going to need FX. If you have cable, you’re already set. Just authenticate your cable login through FXNOW and start scheming about who’s going to kill who next.

You also have options if you’re a cord cutter. Most live TV cord cutting services like Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube Live offer packages that feature FX. If you don’t want to subscribe to those or just want to try out this new episode, you have one last option.

Go to FXNOW and click on the episode you want to watch. When the cable authentication option pops up, click the X button. Depending on the episode and limitations in place that will often bring you to FX’s Preview Pass, which allows you to try out FX for an hour. And guess how long Mayans‘ first episode is? Fifty-four minutes. Really you don’t have an excuse to ignore EZ this season.
