Former ‘Southern Charm’ Star Thomas Ravenel Pleads Guilty To Assault Charges

Former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel has finally been sentenced in his ongoing sexual assault case. He pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and battery this morning in a Charleston, SC courtroom and was sentenced to a $500 fine, according to Live 5 News.

His victim did not appear in court but a judge did read a letter from her and Ravenel agreed with the facts that were stated.

“Your honor, on the night of the incident I did attempt to kiss her and in so doing I grabbed her arm and that was wrong, and I am much appreciative of the opportunity to apologize to her in court today,” he said. This was based upon an incident from January 25, 2015, when he allegedly assaulted a woman working for him as a nanny, according to an affidavit. After the news of this allegation broke, Ravenel was not invited to the Season 5 Southern Charm reunion and was not part of the cast for the recently-wrapped sixth season of the Bravo series.

This has not been Ravenel’s only court battle of late, as he was recently fighting for custody over his children with Kathryn Dennis. The two are currently sharing custody over their two young children, Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3.
