Christie left modern Hollywood glamour behind and forgot all about the medieval armor of Westeros with her Emmys look.
Gwendoline Christie showed up to the Emmys red carpet ready to rule, wearing a fabulous cream and garnet gown that evoked imperial glamour. Needless to say, fans were freaking out about her gorgeous goddess look on Twitter. The look even had fans drawing comparisons to Catholic religious imagery.

Gwendoline Christie is one of four Game of Thrones stars who is nominated tonight for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for their work on the final season (and the only one of that group who self-submitted!).That means that Gwendoline Christie will have to edge out co-stars Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, along with Ozark‘s Julia Garner and Fiona Shaw from Killing Eve. Even if Christie doesn’t take home the Emmy tonight, she’s already won the red carpet.
