Former ‘Southern Charm’ Cast Member Thomas Ravenel Appears To Take Illegal Drugs In New Video: “It’s Just Mushrooms”

A grainy video has surfaced of former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel in which he appears to be enjoying “hallucinogenic drugs,” as first reported by Daily Mail. In the video, Ravenel is seen allegedly taking “magic mushrooms” during a party (“at his home,” according to the report) while the song “Middle” by DJ Snake plays in the background. That song was released in 2015, but the actual date when this video was taken remains unclear.

The video is part of new evidence brought forth by Kathryn Dennis, the mother of his two children, Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3, as part of their neverending custody battle. In the clip, Ravenel is seen reaching into a plastic bag while a female’s voice questions his decision to partake. The unidentified female is heard saying, “You’re gonna do that right now?” and then begging, “Thomas, no. No, you’re, like, gonna geek out right now.” She also says, “I wouldn’t want to do it. I don’t want to hallucinate,” while he responds, “It’s just mushrooms.”

The court documents entered on Dennis’ behalf also include a statement from her alleging that Ravenel watched “muscleman porn” (whatever that is!) and then masturbated onto her back while she was asleep and pregnant at the time. She submitted the video in her attempt to gain full custody of the kids, and claimed that “various people have sent me all kinds of things regarding Thomas over the years.”

Ravenel’s latest legal woes also include him pleading guilty to assault in a case brought forward by a former nanny, for which he was simply fined $500. The custody battle between Ravenel and Dennis is ongoing, though they currently share 50/50 custody of the children.

Southern Charm recently finished airing its sixth season, a season in which Ravenel did not appear.
