Last night The Masked Singer came back in all of its bizarre glory. But there was one performance that was a hair better than the rest. Who exactly is The Rottweiler on The Masked Singer?

The Masked Singer Season 2 has been a wild ride. After starting with 16 contestants we’re now down to seven as last night saw the departure of one of this season’s most mysterious performers. Patti LaBelle was unveiled as The Flower after a great performance. But there’s only one character who has stolen our hearts. Here’s everything you need to know about The Rottweiler on The Masked Singer.

Who Is The Rottweiler? Everything We Know About The Rottweiler on The Masked Singer

Before this season even started we already knew some clues about The Rottweiler’s identity thanks to The Masked Singer‘s sneak peek pre-show. The Rottweiler worked closely with the costume team on their costume, so those abs and that chain necklace are very much intentional. Also this pooch introduced themselves to us as a “total perfectionist.”

In Week 2we got even more clues. Before The Rottweiler rocked Hall & Oates’ “Maneater,” they revealed that their success is possibly football related and that “it happened almost overnight.” In addition to showing off a fantasy NFL Championship ring, blue roses (a reference to the Rose Bowl perhaps?), and a vinyl player, this pup said, “The first time I touched the pig skin under he Friday Night Lights, I learned preparation is key.”

But there were two other major hints hiding in this dog’s clue package. The Rottweiler chose their character because they were bitten by one as a kid. Also, they entered The Masked Singer to prove “it’s not over.” We know that this pup has ties to North Carolina, is a big fan of Triumph the Dog, and that every hard time they’ve had has led him to real opportunities both on screen and off. Based on Week 6’s clue package, has this performer played a crime dog? And what’s with that champ belt?

Who Is The Rottweiler? Here’s Who the Judges Think The Rottweiler Is on The Masked Singer

This puppy immediately won over the judges hearts with Nicole Scherzinger naming them her favorite. But who do the judges think is behind those cute puppy dog eyes?

A few weeks ago Robin Thicke went with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson before changing his guess to the lead singer of The Backstreet Boys, Brian Littrell. Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong continued the boy band train of thought and guessed Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees and JC Chasez from *NSYNC, respectively. But the most ambitious guess of the night came from Scherzinger, who named this dog as Bruno Mars.

But those guesses changed drastically in Week 6. Jeong went with fellow North Carolinian Gavin DeGraw, which would explain those vocals. Scherzinger and McCarthy took a slightly less musically focused approach with Scherzinger guessing former Glee and American Crime Story star Darren Criss and McCarthy guessing James Franco.

McCarthy backtracked once again in Week 7. This time around she thought that The Rottweiler might be singer and Bush member Gavin Rossdale. Meanwhile Jeong guessed Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. But Scherzinger and Thicke doubled down on their Darren Criss guess. It’s anyone’s game at this point.

So Who Is The Rottweiler on The Masked Singer? The Rottweiler Might Be…

The internet feels pretty confident about this one. Though fans were originally guessing singer and songwriter Robbie Williams, most people are now convinced that The Rottweiler is Chris Daughtry. That would line up with all of those football clues as the American Idol singer used to play in high school. Also all of those blue roses that keep appearing look very similar to a tattoo Daughtry has.

New episodes of The Masked Singer premiere on Fox Wednesdays at 8/7c.
