It didn’t take much work to get the Fab Five on board with joining the cast of Big Mouth Season 3. At New York Comic Con series creator and star Nick Kroll told a group of journalists that included Decider about how Season 3’s Queer Eye cameo and Coach Steve’s (voiced by Kroll) makeover came to be.

“We’re all watching Queer Eye and just love the show,” Kroll explained. “We thought that Coach Steve would be a funny person to Queer Eye. He’s a guy I like to describe as a melon with a mustache but underneath that, there might be a good looking guy.”

According to Kroll getting Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Tan France, and Bobby Berk to guest star didn’t take much convincing But it did take some scheduling expertise. “I met them all at Netflix events and knew them a bit casually,” Kroll explained. “We went through Netflix and went to the show, and they were immediately on board. Trying to coordinate their schedule while they were in between seasons took a little bit of work. But they were down and great. It was just a show we all loved watching so we gave it a shot and they were down.”

Created by Nick Kroll, Jennifer Flackett, Mark Levin, and Andrew Goldberg, Big Mouth turns the horrors of puberty into something we can all laugh at while crying. The animated series focuses on a group of middle schoolers, each of which is assigned their own Hormone Monster to guide them through their changing emotions and sexualities. There’s also a Shame Wizard voiced by David Thewlis, a Depression Kitty voiced by Jean Smart, and enough dick jokes to last anyone a lifetime. It’s all great fun. And it’s finally coming back this weekend.

Season 3 of Big Mouth premieres on Netflix Friday, October 4 at 3 a.m. ET.
