Big Mouth is back and it’s just as raunchy as ever. But there’s one clear standout in this season about questionable musicals, dick wars, and horrific trips to Florida, and that’s Missy’s new Hormone Monstress, Mona.

Throughout Big Mouth‘s three seasons we’ve seen all of the kids of Bridgeton Middle get their own Hormone Monsters and grapple with their budding sexualities. That is every kid except for Jenny Slate’s Missy. That changed in “Disclosure the Movie: The Musical!” an episode about a super problematic musical that brought out the sweet Missy’s feisty side in the form of Mona. And even in the world of Hormone Monsters, she’s insane. Here’s what you need to know about this latest Big Mouth addition.

Who Is the Voice of Missy’s Hormone Monster, Mona in Big Mouth?

That would be the incomparable Thandie Newton. At a press conference at New York Comic Con Big Mouth‘s creator and star Nick Kroll revealed that Mona is more impulsive and crazy than her Monstress counterpart Connie (voiced by Maya Rudolph). She was created to look like a London party girl, and much like how Connie’s hair is an active part of her character, Mona’s tail serves the same purpose.

What Else Has Thandie Newton Been in?

Newton is best known for her role on HBO’s western robot drama, Westworld. She plays Maeve Millay, a madam of a brothel who becomes obsessed with reuniting with her lost daughter no matter what it takes. Newton also starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story as Val as well as in Beloved, Crash, The Pursuit of Happyness, and W. In that project Newton took on the role of Condoleezza Rice.

Who Else Is New in the Big Mouth Season 3 Cast?

Comedian and Always By My Maybe star Ali Wong voices the other new major character of the season. In “Rankings” a new girl named Ali enters the world of Bridgeton Middle School with a giant bomb: she’s pansexual. A good amount of the season revolves around how the school reacts to her pansexuality versus Jay’s (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas) newly discovered bisexuality.

Also comedian superstar Wanda Sykes makes an appearance and actor Zachary Quinto has an elevated role this season. Sykes plays Harriet Tubman, the ghost who haunted Duke Ellington’s childhood home. And though we’ve seen Quinto’s Aiden before he has a far more elevated role as Matthew’s (voiced by Andrew Rannells) love interest.
