Daniel Sloss’s New Comedy Special for HBO Gets a Premiere Date, First Trailer [EXCLUSIVE]

Daniel Sloss is coming to HBO, and Decider has the first look at the trailer for the Scottish comedian’s upcoming HBO standup special, Daniel Sloss: X. And not only that, we’re happy to reveal that the new special is set to debut November 2.

Known for his smart yet incisively bold comedy style, Sloss has proven himself to be a comedian to watch. Sloss already has two standup specials on Netflix, DARK and the love-themed Jigsaw. He’s also known for his numerous appearances on late-night television. Sloss has guest starred on  The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and has made a record number of appearances on Conan.

In the trailer for the upcoming special, the comedian promises to make his audience “very fucking uncomfortable” with his signature Scottish vulgarity. How? By making guys confront their emotions, tearing apart sex education, and calling out the ever-fragile male ego. You can watch the trailer above.

According to a press release from HBO, the comedian’s 10th solo show features Sloss “skewering society’s gender constructs and mining his own personal experiences to reveal the humor inherent in today’s fraught masculinity, providing insights that are alternately humorous and profound.” Daniel Sloss: X was taped in April in front of a live audience at Sydney, Australia’s Enmore Theatre. It’s set to premiere in America and Canada exclusively on HBO starting on November 2 at 10/9c and will also be available to stream on HBO Go, HBO NOW, and HBO on Demand.

The premium cable network has a long history of showcasing the best in comedy. HBO has featured exclusive specials from Jaimie Foxx, Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, George Carlin, Michelle Wolf, and Tig Notaro. And it’s continuing that trend. HBO is also set to unveil new specials from Last Comic Standing finalist Gary Gulman and Billions regular Dan Soder later this year.

Daniel Sloss: X premieres on HBO Saturday, November 2 at 10/9c.
