Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident with girlfriend Jen Harley. According to TMZ, Ronnie allegedly struck Jen, chased her with a knife, and then refused to go peacefully with the officers on the scene, forcing Los Angeles Police to tase him before taking him into custody. Jen, Ronnie, and their 18-month-old daughter Ariana reportedly suffered no physical injuries during the alleged incident, although TMZ reports that “Jen did have visible marks on her face.”
TMZ reports that Ronnie and on-again, off-again girlfriend Jen got into a heated argument early Friday morning at an Airbnb in Los Angeles. The Jersey Shore star “allegedly slapped and punched Jen,” who then “went running out of the house, screaming for help.” Sources in law enforcement tell TMZ that Ronnie allegedly ran after Jen with a knife in his hand; he “eventually dropped the knife and locked himself” in the house with Ariana, their infant daughter.
The LAPD responded to multiple 911 calls reporting Jen’s distress, and when they arrived, Ronnie reportedly did not respond to requests to come outside. According to TMZ, “Police decided to break down the door because they were worried Ariana could be in danger.” Once inside, the Jersey Shore star allegedly refused to cooperate with the police, so “officers had to use a taser to take him down.”
Ronnie, Jen, and Ariana have reportedly all been checked out for injuries sustained during the incident. According to TMZ, neither Jen nor Ariana suffered major physical injuries, although “Jen did have visible marks on her face.” Police took Ronnie to a Los Angeles-area hospital, and he will be booked as soon as doctors check him out.
